About Tres Dias

Tres Dias, Spanish for “three days,” is an interdenominational Christian ministry. At its center is a three-day weekend sometimes described as a “short course in Christianity,” rooted in the same tradition as Cursillo and the Walk to Emmaus.

During the weekend, a series of talks given by laity and clergy are discussed in small groups. Candidates worship, study, sing, laugh, and share together in an atmosphere of love, joy, patience, hope, and Christian fellowship.

Tres Dias is open to all adult Christians — men and women, married or single, laity and clergy — regardless of denomination. Men and women attend separate weekends.

The purpose of Tres Dias is to strengthen and encourage Christian leaders so that they, in turn, can strengthen the environments where they live, work, and worship. Tres Dias is not a church and is not a substitute for church — it exists to help awaken or deepen a participant's walk with Christ and to send them back to serve their own congregation and community with renewed commitment.

The weekend is the beginning, not the end. Participants are encouraged to join a reunion group — a small circle of friends who meet regularly for mutual encouragement in piety, study, and action — and to gather with the wider community at larger meetings called secuelas.

Spirit of Grace Tres Dias Texas (SGTD) is the local Tres Dias community serving Texas.
